Piano @ Nativity (Winter 2026)

Our Piano Class is a fun and thorough introduction to the piano, designed specifically for K-8th graders. In this class students are given an introduction both to the keyboard and to the study of music, with a focus on hand position, note-reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and music theory, all while learning fun songs at each class. Each student will have their own keyboards, headphones and lesson book (we use the most well-regarded and child friendly piano method). And parents will receive updates after each class from MySkillChart, which tracks individual student progress through Hummingbird’s curriculum.

• No equipment is needed. Hummingbird Music School provides all lesson books, instruments, and headphones.
• We work closely with extended-care programs, and coordinate with them to ensure they walk your child to us at the beginning of class and walk them back after class ends.
• If your child is not enrolled in an extended-care program, they will go directly to our class. We are unable to pick children up from their classrooms.
• We welcome returning students! Any child who has taken previous classes with us resumes their learning where they left off for learning continuity and continued development.
• Class will be held in the Science Lab
